SHORT_DESC: Cabernet Franc is the parent grape of Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot. It has a unique bell pepper aroma/taste caused by naturally occuring compounds called “pyrazines.” They act as a defense system against pests, allowing the grapes to grow in an array of climates, each bringing out different flavors & characteristics of the grape.
