“Vin Santo,” meaning “holy wine,” is a traditional dessert wine of Toscana. The Chianti tradition of our Vin Santo begins with a special method of harvesting the grapes. This technique allows us to hang the bunches vertically within our stunning vinsantaia, thus beginning the natural drying process.

Color: amber

Nose: dried fruit, honey & apricot, tied with notes of vanilla & spices

Flavor/Finish: velvety, with great structure & roundness; persistent, fresh finish, with dried stone fruits, caramel, honey & vanilla notes

Varietal: Trebbiano Toscano, Sangiovese, Malvasia Nera

Food Pairing: cantuccini, fois gras, pate, aged cheeses

Process: fermentation & maturation in sealed caratelli (traditional small barrels of acai & cherry wood) filled 70%, aged 7-10 years

Serving Temperature: 57 - 61 °F

Alcohol: 13.0%
