Brunello di Montalcino is one of Italy’s top regional red wines, first labled as such in 1865 by Biondi-Santi. Wines are made with a special clone of Sangiovese. Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Terre Nere is produced only in the best vintages.

Nose: hints of ripe red fruit, tobacco & enchanting spices

Flavor/Finish: elegant & persistent tannins, with a long & balanced finish; notes of dark red fruits, mocha & earth

Varietal: 100% Sangiovese Grosso

Process: hand-picked & harvested; 20-25 days maceration; aged 4 years in big, Slavonian oak casks; aged 2 years in bottle
