Made from the grapes grown in the vineyards of Monforte d’Alba in Rinaldi, from which the wine gets its name, this Barbera has a distinct & powerful character, yet retains a pleasant freshness that gives it exceptional drinkability. With the vineyards average age of 48 years, additional complexity is achieved.

Color: deep, intense ruby red

Nose: rich of red fruits, with hints of spice & floral notes

Flavor/Finish: notable strength in flavor, with pleasant fruitiness, medium body, great acidic backbone & oak aging, so it can be enjoyed young or aged

Varietal: 100% Barbera

Food Pairings: risotto, roasted & grilled meats, cheese, mushroom dishes

Process: barrel aged for several months, assemblage in stainless steel; refined in bottle a few months; complete malolactic fermentation

Serving Temperature: 59 - 60 °F
