Prosecco is Italy’s number one sparkling wine, in terms of production. Originally, “Prosecco” was also the name of the grape varietal; however, in order to protect the Prosecco DOC & prevent confusion, the grape is now called Glera. Prosecco, like Champagne, can only be produced in specific areas in northeastern Italy.   

Color: bright, pale yellow, with greenish tints  

Nose: complex range of green apple, grapefruit, lemons & flowers  

Flavor/Finish: fresh notes of apple, grapefruit, wisteria & acai; pleasant acidity; full-bodied, with fine & persistent perlage  

Varietal: 100% Glera

Food Pairing: versatile as an aperitif, with hors d’oeuvres, light dishes, or pastries & cakes  

Process: Charmat Method - 1st fermentation in steel vats at controlled temp, select yeast added; 2nd fermentation in low temp pressure tanks; aged 6 months in bottle

Serving Temperature: 45 - 50 °F

Alcohol: 11.5% Pressure: 4.5 bar 

Residual Sugar: 14.5 g/L
