Over the years, More Than Grapes has worked to preserve an important part of the Italian culture in our business – authentic connections and relationships and a sense of family. Until now, we had refrained from developing a website or social media presence in an effort to maintain regular in-person contact with each of our partner distributors, restaurants and retailers and grow our business through word of mouth.

That said, the pandemic taught us a lot. It helped us understand that sometimes, in-person communication is not possible and that in a blink of an eye, friends and loved ones can lose everything they’ve spent their entire life building up. It reinforced our understanding that our societies have a lot of work to do and we all must be part of that work to be better. It taught us that social media and video calls could be used to connect with more people around the world…and that even our Mammas & Nonnas could learn how to use Zoom. But it also made us feel blessed that while all this time we spent building strong, authentic relationships may have seemed archaic to many, it was those relationships that would keep us together. It was those relationships that we, our partners and community would all rely on…not just to survive as companies or individuals, but to survive as a community. And it is through this community, we can work to build a greater ecosystem.
